📋 When to Use the Image to PDF

Convert JPG, PNG, and WebP images into a single PDF document — perfect for combining scanned receipts, creating photo portfolios, or packaging screenshots into a shareable file. Upload multiple images, drag to reorder, choose page size (A4/Letter), and decide whether images fill or fit the page. No merge or split operations — this tool creates PDFs from images. All processing uses PDF-lib in your browser; your images never leave your device.

⚙️ How the Image to PDF Works

Selected images are read via the browser File API. Each image is embedded into a new page using PDF-lib (v1.17.1): JPEG images use doc.embedJpg(), PNG and WebP use doc.embedPng(). Images are scaled to the chosen page dimensions (A4: 595×842pt, Letter: 612×792pt) in either fill (crop to cover) or fit (scale down to fit) mode. Pages are assembled in the order shown in the drag-to-reorder list, then the PDF is generated client-side and offered for download. No merging, splitting, or PDF manipulation — this tool creates new PDFs from images. Nothing is uploaded to any server.

Frequently Asked Questions

What image formats are supported?

We support JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP formats. HEIC and other raw formats are not currently supported.

How is image quality preserved?

Images are embedded at their original resolution. The PDF page size and margins determine how the image is placed, but the image data itself is not compressed beyond what the PDF format requires. For best results, use high-resolution source images.

Can I convert multiple images at once?

Yes! Upload as many images as you like. Each image becomes its own page in the resulting PDF, in the order you arrange them.

Is this tool free to use?

Completely free. No sign-ups, no watermarks, no limits on the number of conversions. All processing happens in your browser for maximum privacy.
